Why Do Pressure Washers Work So Well For Retail?

Pressure washing is the best way to clean your building’s exterior and surrounding area. Here’s why:

Ever wonder how pressure washers manage to get everything so clean? Again and again pressure washing manages to get your building looking good as new despite built up grime and grease. Well, here is the science behind this wonderful cleaning method.

A pressure washer is essential an engine that powers a highly pressurized water pump. The motor helps pull water in so that it can be pushed out through the hose. The water inlet is the hose that connects a water source to the machine. The water is then expelled through the high pressure hose. This is typically a long skinny piece that forces the water out at a rate of about 2000 to 3300 pounds per square inch, or PSI. It is this pressure that helps get rid of the tough stains and dirt that can’t be removed by elbow grease alone.

Sometimes a pressure washer by itself isn\’t enough to get the job done. That’s why professionals use cleaning attachments and detergents to ensure your building will look spotless. Attachments include rotary nozzles that increase the surface area of the spray and rotating brushes to clean the more stubborn stains. For a particularly deep clean in a fraction of the time, pressure washers use hot water and detergent much like a dishwasher. Depending on the surface, a hot water and detergent mixture is sprayed over the entire surface to help break up the dirt, mildew, and grease. Then a cold water rinse washes it all away.

Regularly scheduled pressure washing can keep any building exterior clean whether it’s brick, concrete, stucco, or anything else. Our professionals will use the proper tools and techniques to tackle your project.
